BOB DROPS IN TO MEGACON 2008! On March 7-9, Orlando, Florida played host to the annual MegaCon Comic Book Convention. Although I was not a scheduled attendee, I was invited to make an appearance. Although my busy schedule only permitted me to show up for a few hours on Saturday, the convention promoter was kind enough to leave a professional pass for me (and my assistant--the fabulous Sorah Suhng) at the front desk. I used the opportunity to drop in on my buddy and Colony collaborator Dick Giordano, who was holding court (as any King of Comics should do) at his artist table with administrative assistant and long-time friend-- Pat Bastienne. It was a lot of fun to go finally to a convention as a mere observer and not as a participant. It gave me a chance to wander the floor, press the flesh with some of my fans and to be introduced to some new comics creators whom I haven't had the pleasure of conversing with prior to MegaCon. Among some of the old friends I ran into during the show was Michael Golden, John Romita Jr., Herb Trimpe, and Mark Texeira to name a few. Of course, I also took the opportunity to plug my website to the attendees and hype the variety of new projects I have coming out in 2008. Naturally!
