ABOUT THE CHARACTER:

Freemind tells the story of scientist Mac Flint, severely handicapped from birth, who rises to prominence as one of the world's greatest experts of cybernetics. Mac is determined to free himself from the confines of prison that his body represents.  Eventually, he succeeds in developing technology that will allow him to transfer his mind, for a limited amount of time, into an android body.

However, the transferal process has an unexpected side effect--free of the restraints of the body, the android can utilize the 90% of the mind that lies dormant in humans, bestowing startling psionic powers to Wilde.  Suddenly, Mac goes from being the most helpless man in the world to the most powerful.

Fearing misuse of this breakthrough, Mac creates a secret identity for his android persona.  As Edison Wilde, he assumes the role of troubleshooter for Mac's company, FLINTECH.
This series is about the coming of age of Mac, who begins to interact directly with the real world for the first time in his life. Although he's gifted and knowledgeable, in many ways, he's extremely naive and inexperienced.

ABOUT THE STORY:

Crippled genius Mac Flint is hot on the trail of the mastermind responsible for his recent kidnapping. Security Chief Rico Sanchez joins forces with Mac's android alter-ego, Edison Wilde, as clues begin to point to a source much closer than anyone suspected.

Flint uncovers a technological menace in that threatens the security of the free world after following a trail that leads to his own Aerospace division and a FlinTech employee who starts down the path to betrayal.
