DOC SAVAGE

This was my take on a Doc Savage Bantam Book cover, commissioned by Richard DeDominics.

This page was commissioned by Michael Boley and is the second in a series of recreations. This one, originally pencilled by Carmine Infantino, is close to the published version with the exception of the new trade dress.

This variant , originally drawn by Gil Kane, replaces the X-Men with characters from the Valiant Universe. This page was conceived and commissioned by Derek Muthart.

This was an unusual request from Brian Peck--who wanted these zombie versions of Jean Grey returning from the dead to haunt herself.

I know I said I didn't want to do any more versions of this cover, but this one was for Entourage' writer/producer Michael Benson--who's a good friend and I owed him a big favor.  Mike is a huge fan of the Michelinie/Layton Iron Man run and, after all,  this cover epitomizes the era.

Look for my interview with Mike on this website, where we discuss his fascination for Iron Man, his upcoming Moon Knight series, as well as his body of work in Hollywood on the HBO hit series.

Not only did I do a straight recreation of #128 this month, I also did this unique variant for Mike DeLeRee that's a homage to the comic series Preacher.

This Space Armor classic recreation was commissioned by Ryan Leasher and it features the addition of Sunturion in the background, as well as a few cosmetic alterations.

Avengers #276 Variant Recreation

This page was commissioned by Murray Roach. Murray asked to have the characters that were originally featured on the John Buscema cover replaced with his personal favorites, Black Panther, Black Widow, Iron Man, Hercules and Wonder Man.

You can imagine how coincidental it was to get two commission requests for the same cover in the same week! This one was for Jonathan Refson from the U.K.

This is another in a series of pin-up/poster illustrations that I've done for my pal, John Higashi.

This single figure illo was commissioned by Mike Cross, who requested that I do something that would feature his daughter, Alyssa, in it.

This drawing was commissioned by Marc Svensson, who requested a nice shot of the Armored Avenger in flight.

I had fun doing this silly illustration for David Peters, who is an elementary school principal and has devoted his office walls to comic book and related artwork. I tried to come up with something that would get a laugh.
 

I also did this variant of the famous Scarface movie poster for Mike DeLeRee, featuring another character from the comic series Preacher.

This variant was done for Michael Nightingale and features the characters he created for the City of Villains M.M.O.R.P.G.

BAYANI COVER

And finally, this original composition, based on the W.W.II famous statue and featuring his characters from City of Heroes, was commissioned by Kris Fenol as the cover to his upcoming eight-page comic book.
