Due to my heavy work schedule with Marvel and the holidays, no commissions were completed in December 2007. As an alternative to my regular art gallery, I am presenting this sneak-peak to some of the work currently in production on the Iron Man: "Legacy of Doom" mini-series.

For those of you who are on my waiting list for a commissioned drawing, please keep in mind that I'm hard at work inking this IRON MAN/DR. DOOM mini-series.  Normally, I would be turning those assignments around quickly (as I'm known for doing).  But, these days, I only have a very small window of time each month to devote to my beloved art clients.  

Your patience is greatly appreciated and I will do everything in my power to complete your commissions in a timely fashion.

LEGACY OF DOOM #1 COVER

Here is the first cover to the mini-series, displayed here in three stages, pencils (by Ron Lim), inks (by me) and color (by Moose Baumann). This cover layout (and the remaining three in the series) was based on the original cover design for Iron Man #150--the very first Iron Man/Camelot story.

I love the idea that David and I had in this segment of showing Tony Stark in the process of destroying his old armors for security reasons.

This page demonstrates the power that black placements have in the inking process.  No matter how good it looks in the pencils, the composition rocks once the solid blacks are added. I also altered Ron's sparkling effects in Photoshop for a more realistic effect.

In this page, you'll see that I added more debris to the bottom panel on the inked version.  After it was embellished, I felt that it need more shards to increase the power of the Doom's blow.
