Iron Man/ X-O Manowar #2 Variant
Recreation
This page,
commissioned by David Oberg, is based on the cover to X-O #2 by Barry
Windsor-Smith. In this composition, I replaced the Spider-Aliens with
Shellhead's rogues gallery.

 |
X-O Manowar/Iron Man #150
Variant Recreation
This is another commission I did for Douglas
Oberg. This time, he had me covert this classic Iron Man cover by JRJR
and me to my other favorite armored character-Aric of Dacia. |
|
 |
Uncanny X-Men #141 Recreation
Wow--I've done this
layout almost as many times as Iron Man #128! Obviously, this is from
the original classic cover by John Byrne, commissioned by Benjamin
Samuels.

Legion Of Super-Heroes/X-Men
#141 Variant Recreation
This page was commissioned by Anthony
Carpenter, who requested a variation of the famous John Byrne X-Men
cover (yes--two of these in ONE MONTH!!!)--replacing the mutants with the super-powered teens from the DC
future universe. |
|
 |
Iron Man #123 Variant Recreation
This cover variant
was commissioned by Cyril Kvasnevski of Paris, France. This is the
first time I've ever done a recreation of this particular cover.

CATWOMAN
This page, based on
a cover by Jim Balent, was commissioned by Wayne Mousseau. In the
composition, I replaced Robin, the Boy Wonder, with a figure of the Dark
Knight. |
|
 |
CAPTAIN AMERICA #248 VARIANT
RECREATION
This page was
commissioned by Art Shotton and was based on the original composition by
John Byrne--with Ol' Shellhead replacing the Star-Spangled Avenger. |
 |
DC COMICS PRESENTS #29 VARIANT RECREATION
This commission was done for John Burk--who
is a big fan of the All Star Comics work from my DC days in the 70's.
This page was originally penciled by Joe Staton and sported a Neal Adams
cover (one of my favs). This commission is a companion piece to a
similar drawing I did for John back in May of 2005.

 |
Iron Man #6 Variant Recreation
This classic Iron Man cover, originally
drawn by Gene Colon, had a character called The Crusher. Tom Parenti
asked me to exchange the Crusher with my updated version of the
Guardsman from the Iron Man Concept of the Month feature.

 |
Avengers #4 Variant Recreation
I had a load of fun doing this page. As a
last minute urge, I decided to replace the original Kirby designs with
the current incarnations of the characters. Unfortunately, the client
was not a fan of the newer stuff--so now it's for sale!
$250.00 |

Avengers #4 Variant Recreation (Take II)
Since it was "my bad" on screwing with Scott
Dunbier's commission -- taking artistic license with it, I immediately
went back to the drawing board (quite literally) to produce this more
traditional recreation for him. |
 |
Iron Maiden and Dynamo
This page was commissioned by Robert Jewell and features two characters
created by one of my former mentors--the late, great Wally Wood. |
 |
Iron Man Single Figure 1
This page is one-of-two Iron Man illustrations that was commissioned by Kwan Chang. |
 |
Iron Man Single Figure 2
This is the second Iron Man illustration commissioned by Mr. Chang. I've
always enjoyed the "busting out of chains or cables" poses! |
 |
Iron Man Single Figure 3
This illustration was commissioned by
Anthony Mathews. |
 |
Booster Gold and Captain America
This page was commissioned by Michael
Rankins as part of his collection of art that features these two
star-spangled characters. |
 |
Elektra and Daredevil
This is actually two, single figure commissions that I managed to link
together for my client--another request from Mr. Kwan Chang . |
 |
Daredevil #169 Variant Recreation
This page was commissioned by Craig E.
Rogers and was based on the King-Sized Conan #1 cover design originated
by Barry Windsor-Smith. |

George Tuska Champions INKS
My pal Larry Clay asked me to ink this
recent pencil commission by the fantastic George Tuska. Man--it's
terrific to see someone of George's tender years still at the drawing
board and producing good stuff for me to ink. |
