This was a single figure commission, done for Sven-Hendrik Magotsch of Germany, that I based on the version of the Surfer that'll be appearing this summer in the sequel to the Fantastic Four.

This page was pencilled by Greg Horn and sent to me by Matthew Stock to ink. I inked this commission on a separate art board using a light box, in order to preserve the pencils for Matt's collection.

SILVER SURFER #4 VARIANT RECREATION

 

This commission, done for Rod Carreiro, was based on the original John Buscema design. Rod asked me to add the Mephisto figure to the composition.

IRON MAN

 

This commission, ordered for a friend by Jeff Harnett, is just a simple, single figure Iron Man drawing--that I got a bit carried away with.  But sometimes I just start having fun when it's Iron Man!

This was a straight redo of a Shellhead cover that I did way the Hell back in 1979 (Damn--am I that old?!!) I originally created this cover as a tribute to one of my mentors--the late, great Wally Wood.

Craig Droba says that he's a huge DC fan since birth, especially of the Superman family and wanted to see my version of this character for his single figure commission.

This page was commissioned by my pal Larry Clay. Surprisingly, I don't get many requests for this character, which is too bad. I enjoy working on this Iron Man derivation.

The page was commissioned by long time fan Brian Carney and features the Earth I and Earth II incarnations of Batgirl and Nightwing. The coloring is by our own Ian Sokoliwski.

 

 
DEFENDERS #46 VARIANT RECREATION

This reinterpretation of the cover to Defenders #46 was commissioned by Italian fan, Carlo Michelini. While the Hulk was on the original cover, Carlo asked me to exclude him, otherwise the composition would be too crowded.
He also wanted Valkyrie in the uniform she wore for a few issues circa Defenders #36.

AVENGERS #25 VARIANT RECREATION

This commission, based on the original Jack Kirby cover, was commissioned by W. Clark Ray. For this illustration, W.C. asked me to substitute Quicksilver for Iron Man.

This commission is a companion piece to the Mandarin: Wall of Iron Men drawing I did for  Chris Ciara. The heroes from left to right (top): Rai, Archer, Ninjak (second row): Shadowman, Bloodshot, Armstrong (third row): Solar, Eternal Warrior, X-O Manowar.
