Unused Cover Sketch

I was recently contacted by Jon Ellis and Chris Allo at Marvel Comics to participate in an exciting new Iron Man project. 

The product will be a Iron Man Collectible Covers book, done in conjunction with Paramount, that will reprint a selection of classic Shellhead covers from the series' history. I was particularly flattered to hear that, when given a choice of artists to work with, the client specifically asked for me as the cover illustrator! 

I'm very excited and honored to have been singled-out for this job. 

Additionally, I was even more blown away when they asked for an revised version of a commission I did several years ago, called "The Evolution of Iron Man" as the cover's theme.  (It looks like somebody at Paramount has been lurking around boblayton.com!  Heh-heh!!)
