I've been a fan of yours forever. Iron Man is, by far, my favorite character in the Marvel universe and it's because of your artwork.
At the age of 34 I went back to school, an art school, so I've been learning all kinds of modern age illustrating software products.
For one of my Adobe Illustrator classes, I used a design by J.R.J.R. and yourself. I then colored it using my own techniques and re-imagined the background, then presented it.
I like the final version, but have become much more adept since then. I'm just bold enough to show you now.

Aaron,
I think you did a great job bringing new life to an old illustration. Although I could probably nit-pick with this little thing, or that little thing, for the most part I think you did an excellent job. I get a kick out of receiving fan versions of my work and this one was no exception. I can only encourage you to keep striving to improve and look at some really great comic book colorists like my pal, the Mighty Moose Baumann.
