Bob,
I'm enjoying all the new Iron Man projects you are working on and looking forward to some Hercules. I definitely can appreciate the time you are spending in Hollywood...the Future Comics properties would definitely translate well. Was that something you even had in the back of your mind when the creation of those properties came about?

Dear Mike,
Funny you should mention the Future Comics properties, because they are definitely part of the mix that I’m working on in Hollywood.
When David Michelinie and I were dreaming up the Future line, we did it with two mandates:

   1. To create characters and stories that could be enjoyed by the general public—meaning the products must be accessible to anyone and not laden by excessive, convoluted continuity that the current batch of offerings by the Big Two suffered from. Since we were offering the products by Internet subscription, it was our hopes to put the books into the hands of “John Q. Public” as well as the hardcore die-hards.

   2. To create properties that would translate easily into other mediums, be it video games, films, television or cartoons.

Well, it looks like we’re on the verge of seeing how well those characters translate as each passing day gets us a bit closer to announcing a film deal. Of course, you will get all the breaking details and behind-the-scenes information here on my website.
