IRON
MAN #218
(undersea
Armor)
cover
recreation
This
was one of my favorite
covers from my second
run on Iron Man.
Unfortunately,
Michelinie and I never
had a chance to revisit
this specialty armor
during the rest of the
series. As far as
I know, this issue was
the only time it ever
appeared. |

single
figure spider-man
Spencer
Beck, my art agent at
the The Artists' Choice,
has been pleading with
me for some time to come
up with some single
figure illos that would
be more affordable to
those customers who
didn't have a huge wad
of cash to spend on a
piece of original comic
art. So-- |
 |
single
figure iron man
--
I finally forced myself
to sit down and knock
out a few drawings of a
few Marvel characters
that I've been
personally associated
with over the years.
Next
month, I'm probably
going to sit down and
knock out a few
characters
that I've had--
|
 |
single
figure Hercules
--a
hand in during my time
at DC Comics. I'm
figuring I'll probably
do the Huntress, Batman
and a couple of the
Charlton
characters.
However, if you have any
better suggestions, I'm
all ears, folks.

zoom
suit #3 cover
John
Taddeo asked me to do
another two ZOOM SUIT
covers for his upcoming
series. In this scene,
the hero has just
destroyed an asteroid
that was threatening the
planet, but at the cost
of seriously damaging
the miraculous alien
armor he's endowed with.
And,
before you ask, I don't
know how he gets out of
this predicament.
But-- |

zoom
suit #3 variant cover
--if
this variant version of
the series is any
indication, the
situation doesn't bode
well for the guy in the
Zoom Suit.

AVENGERS
#8
cover
recreation
(SORT
OF...)
Avengers
#8 has always been one
of my favorite Marvel
Comic covers of all
time.
So--it
was only a matter of
time before I attempted
a redo of it. In this
version, I decided to
convert the image from a
group shot into an Iron
Man solo scene.
I also decided
to reduce the
enormous amount of cover
copy. |

IRON
MAN #243
cover
recreation
This
recreation was done as
part of a deal with a
really nice fellow, Mark
Levy. Mark recently
bought the all 22
interior art pages to
this issue. As a
way of saying thanks,
and to make his
acquisition complete, I
drew this version
of the cover to
#243. Thanks to
Mark for giving that
issue's art a good home. |

KERRY
GAMMELL IRON FIST
This
is an inking commission
from a regular to this
site, Jeff Corbett.
I'm
a big fan of Kerry
Gammell, and his
rendition of Danny Rand,
so inking his work is
never a chore.
Thanks, Jeff.

dc
special #29
recreation
This
commission was done for
John Burk--who is a big
fan of the All Star
Comics work from my DC
days in the 70's.(Y'know--that
dates us both, John.)
This
page was
originally penciled by
Joe Staton and sported a
Neal Adams cover (one
of my favs). It was
a lot of fun to
re-address something I
had worked on so early
in my career.
Thanks,
John. |

STALLONE
ZONE ROCKY
Craig
Zablo commissioned me to
draw this shot of
Sylvester Stallone,
during Don Perlin's
Cavalcade of Comics
charity event last
November but I ran out
of time and had to leave
before I could get his
sketch completed.
I promised to do it once
I got back home. If you
share Mr. Zablo's
fondness for the
'Italian Stallion',

FREEMIND
#1 variant
Recently,
while compiling vast
amounts of reference for
the Freemind motion
picture's writer, I
stumbled upon the
original art variant to
Freemind #1 that was
penciled and inked by
me. We used this
variant version of the
cover as a retailer
reward for purchasing
set amounts of Future
Comics. Only two
thousand were ever
printed, so many of you
have never seen this
image. |
