armor
wars FULL COLOR
double-page spread
After
I did the "Alcohol
storyline " spread
for my pal, Daren Domina
some months back, I
thought that a similar
page, with a montage' of
images from the 'other
famous Iron Man
storyline' might be
something fun to do.
(I'm obviously a glutton
for punishment.)
So-- I've worked on a
few figure
here-and-there each week
until I finally finished
the massive bugger.
Altogether, I estimate
that it took me 36 man
hours to complete it.
Translation: it was a
major ball-buster. The
original's size is
22"x 17".This
drawing was colored by
my pal--Ian SokoliwskiI
urge everyone to visit
Ian's website to check

BATman
"FREAKS"
PRESENTATION ART
I
found this pencil page
recently and I thought
it would be fun to share
it with everyone. This
drawing was from an
Elseworlds proposal by
David Michelinie and me.
Obviously, it wasn't
accepted but I loved the
basic concept of Batman
and his Rogue Gallery
all being circus people.
Oh, well...I
will sell this
presentation board--but
only with the
stipulation that I can
ink it first. I
generally don't like to
sell my unfinished work.

TUSKA
IRON MAN VS. KANG INKS
This
is the first of several
George Tuska pencil
drawings that my pal,
Daren Domina, sent to me
for inking.
Occasionally, I go a
little crazy with
embellishing on the
original--as with this
particular item.
Check out the pencils to
see what I mean.

GIORDANO/LAYTON
BATMAN
I
recently visited my pal
Dick Giordano at his
East Florida studio and
rummaged through a pile
of his unused pencil
drawings while I was
there. Dickie was kind
enough to let me have a
few of them to take home
to finish. This is one
of the very cool layouts
I found.

CHAMPIONS
#18 VARIANT RECREATION
#1
Comic
Art Fans.com member and
staunch B. L. supporter
Mike Jackson requested
this homage' to Art
Adams' fantastic cover
to Classic X-Men #14. (Believe
it or not, I received
two commissions to
create a cover to the
last issue (#18) of
the Champions in the
same week.) In this
version, I altered the
characters to become the
Champs and the baddies
they took on during the
book's run. |

#2
CHAMPIONS #18 VARIANT
RECREATION
Another
CAF member and fellow
Floridian, Gary Hart,
commissioned this
recreation based on the
classic X-Men #100 cover
by Dave Cockrum.
Substituting the
Champions for the X-Men
on the left of the
original, Gary wanted me
to create a cover for an
18th issue of the
Champions--which was
never actually
published. |

IRON
MAN NANO armor
During
my recent chat at COMIC
BOOK RESOURCES on
October
13th, the subject came
up concerning how I
imagined the Iron
Man armor evolving in
the future. After that
night, I got several
requests to visualize my
idea. This
drawing, beautifully
colored by my pal--Ian
Sokoliwski, is the
result.
